2000 AD is the cutting edge powerhouse of British comics.
Imaginative, hard-hitting stories and eye-popping art have made 2000 AD essential reading - from the violent satire of futuristic lawman Judge Dredd and the war-torn world of Rogue Trooper to the robot mayhem of the ABC Warriors and the stone-cold mutant killers of Strontium Dog.
At the cutting edge of contemporary pop culture since 1977, the stunning cocktail of explosive sci-fi and fantasy, infused with a mean streak of irony and wry black humour, has won countless awards and inspired everything from music to movies, art to politics.
It has been the proving ground for some of the biggest names in comics today - Alan Moore, Mark Millar, Garth Ennis, Mick McMahon, Frank Quietly, Grant Morrison - as well as nurturing the next generation to explode onto the comic book scene, including Al Ewing, Rob Williams, Boo Cook, Simon Spurrier and Henry Flint.
Alongside its monthly sister title, the Judge Dredd Megazine, 2000 AD has become synonymous with the very finest in comics art, and has won the Best British Comic award at the UK Comic Art Awards, National Comics Awards and Eagle Awards too many times to list.
Over a quarter of a century, 2000 AD has created literally hundreds of memorable comic book characters whose lasting appeal has been proven not only in the ultra-competitive world of comics publishing, but also by branching out into numerous merchandise deals including movies, computer games, radio plays, action figures and merchandising.
2000 AD is available every Wednesday and The Judge Dredd Megazine is available every month from newsagents, comic shops and online.

BORAG THUNGG, EARTHLETS!
I am not alone in beaming the Thrill-power into every pulse-pounding issue of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic - in fact, I am ably assisted by my crack team of Nerve Centre droids. Come meet the hard-working mekanoids that toil beneath my emerald eye...

Matt "CyberMatt" Smith
The Mighty One's whipping boy, he's responsible for feeding the prog and Meg to the print-bots on time. Lateness will not be tolerated, do you understand? Never! NEVER!!
Simon "PYE-01" Parr
Pye-01 is Tharg's head design and production droid. Armed only with a Wacom tablet and an out-of-date copy of Adobe Creative Suite, he is engaged in an unceasing battle with Pak-R-d-5500, the ill-tempered, lazy printerbot who sits in the corner of the Nerve Centre doing, saying and printing nothing - unless regularly subjected to hideous violence and swearing.
Luke "R1F4" Preece
Design droid and PYE-01's wingman (but not in the Biblical sense). Duties include banging out several books and videogame logos simultaneously. Most likely to say: 'MMMMMMMMeggaazzziiiinnnnneee!!!'
Keith "Robo-K33F" Richardson
Graphic novels editor and marketing droid. Can often be found railing against the trends of the modern world - like Twitter, FTP sites and children - and trying to convince anyone that'll listen that Judge Tyrannosaur is a good story.
Michael "MOLCH-R" Molcher
Newly constructed PR-bot, tasked with wafting Tharg's Mighty Organ under the noses of every editor, blogger, fan-site and forum user. Owing to a Mac OS XI upgrade, can fire off multiple press releases and still have time for a civil war re-enactment before lunch.
Kat "G1RL-01" Symes
The Nerve Centre reprographics droid, permanently plugged into a slowly dying scanner. Responsible for scanning all the film and artwork for the mags and GNs ? can turn around a mega-epic from transparency to tif between fag breaks. She is the only member of the team to be having an office romance with a portable heater
Julian "w3bz" Hall
Online construction droid, responsible for building, tinkering, taking apart and generally hitting with a virtual hammer the very website you're reading. However, dealing with all things in the Galactic Interweb has not been without a substantial amount of wear and tear. Failing the last Sentience V2.0 exam, w3bz can usually be found in some corner or other with the lights out, drinking industrial strength synthi-caff and shouting at the darkness.
Andy "500" Clark
The bot behind all web-related machinery everywhere, he takes great giggly pleasure in unnecessarily putting spanners where spanners shouldn't go. So if you receive an "Internal Server Error 500" message it is very likely you've fallen foul of 500's boredom-induced tampering to take his mind off his daily task of fondling databases.
Nick "Mechanoise" Brewer
Soundscape engineer and surfer on the algorithms of noise. Called upon from time to time to make sure 2000 AD can 'turn it up to 11', Mechanoise has spent his life's savings on acquiring no less than two fusion-charged CRANK-MAX 3000 cybernetic upgrades, which he'll use to annihilate the various listening-related body parts this galaxy's inhabitants are lucky enough to genetically own. Just as soon as he's figured out how to turn them on...
