"Portuguese-language version of Judge Dredd Megazine to debut in Brazil"
It’s been available on Pluto and throughout the Kuiper Belt since 1977, but for the first time legendary British comic book 2000 AD is to be published in Brazil.

Juiz Dredd Megazine is a new six-issue weekly Portuguese-language series, reprinting strips from both 2000 AD and its monthly sister comic, Judge Dredd Megazine.

Publisher Mythos Editora, based in São Paulo, will be reprinting recent and classic strips from the 2000 AD archives, from current creators such as Dan Abnett as well as work by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and Brian Bolland.

The weekly magazine, which will run for six issues, will include strips such as Judge Dredd, Nikolai Dante, Sláine and Grey Area.

Matt Smith, editor of 2000 AD, said: “The editorial droids at Mythos Editora have chosen a very well-balanced selection of strips, mixing classic material with newer stories, and it’ll make for a highly enjoyable package. I’m delighted to see the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic reaching the newsstands of Brazil!”
