Since Corey Haim's death....
« on: 11 March, 2010, 12:13:05 AM »
Not quite on topic, but....

I've ben reading up on The Lost Boys continueity and though I didn't like the sequel much, I just found out villain Angus Sutherland happens to be the younger brother of Keifer Sutherland in real life.

Obviuosly, probably should have noticed this from the credits.

The movie still sucks, and there wasn't any Corey Haim in any version I've seen.

But I found the in another alternative ending....

Alan's the vampire driving the souped up muscle car with the windows blacked out, using some monitor to see where he's going.

Thats cool.

Pity he's a vampire though.

It does look strange as the scene starts out

With Edgar in a shack or caravan under a suspension bridge & then it cuts to the car on the beach side road, then Edgar & Sam are talking on the beach.

Like how did they get there, obviously not in the car?

Reading the synopsis's for the four part comic shown above.

Lost Boys, Reign of the Frogs

Which fills in the gap between both films. They have David of the lost boys return from the grave again & we find out that Grandpa is a vampire sired to the Widow Johnson who ever she was, who has her own coven on the out skirts of Santa Karla.

As a coincidence I always thought that Grandpa should have been the Master Vampire using the other guy who owned the video store & The Lost Boys as his pawn. Responcible for all the dissappearances around town.

 TO BE CONT......

Had to end that there before suddenly because I just had a domestic with my father. On that I don't want to say anymore, but thats why I stopped.

BTW, I orignally started this in the R.I.P. thread & cut & pasted it here because It's really off topic.

Thats why I started the how I do, but I won't be here fore awhile, I really have otrher stuff to do.

Now that I'm in a slightly better mood now.

I honestly don't know what I could add to that with out typing out the whole synopsis covering all four comic books.

I won't do that.

I am impressed by the art work on these covers.

Love the art work here, on these two covers, but can't find decent pics of the other two.

Strange how the artist almost intentionally avoids getting the likeness's exact.

I just wanted to discuss what I thought might made for a better film or television series. I could imagine both the Frog Brothers drifting from town to town across the states hunting vampires, demons, other undead. Like the unholy love child fromt he union Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural. Scrap the idea of Alan being a vampire or half vampire. Perhaps they might get him cured, finding his sire & staking them or that could be premice for the series. Travelling in that vampiric musclecar, like the horror spin off of Knight Rider

This must be cover or back or some concept art for a comic book based on the first film.

With the arch-vamp's trademark spiked peroxide mullet. He's reminds me of Slaine. Infact that whole picture reminds me of backcover or page taken from Slaine the King

Scanning a copy of the page now......

Can't find where the software for this is installed on the computer.

So, if somebody can oblige my request.

I think you know which picture I mean.

There's it is, after Googleing for images of Slaine the King

Might have preferred the colourised version, but alteast that just the picture. I was looking for.

It's a Glenn Fabry which has me guessing who did the The Lost Boys picture.

Poor bastard. Since his death a piece of his artwork went on sale on Ebay. It got shy bids and went for only 3 to 400 quid.

Excellent Slaine segue but the cover was draw by Jonathan Wayshack and coloured by the impressivly (and oh so ironically) named Randy Mayor.

Nice try though.

No, I was pretty sure, the The Lost Boys artwork wasn't one of Glenn Fabry's, but I was just comparing composition of both pieces there. You can cleary see where he signed his name.

Notice  howw Corey's/Sam Emerson picture almost corresponds with the one that has been left balnk/coloured black on the Slaine picture......

 :o :-\ :-X :o :-\ :-X :o :-\ :-X :o :o :o

Thats sort of spooky if you notice stuff like that.

Even stranger still, thats where Naimh's face was as she was still outscast from the tribe for falling pregnant. I think thats hers, though I never thought she was one of the Red Branch. I  guess she was good warrrior as well. Maybe Slaine wanted here in, and the place was set aside, but she wasn't there. The picture merely demonstrates this.

Perhaps, I shouldn't taske that comparison any further.
