Just Cause 2 Demo
« on: 07 March, 2010, 10:24:50 AM »
Just a heads up to say the Just Cause 2 demo is out and it's great! You get half an hour of free-roaming. explosive madness where you get to have great fun with a variety of weapons, vehicles and, best of all, a cool grappling hook. It's what the woeful Bionic Commando should have been like.

Well worth a download, even if it's just to hear the worst voice acting of all time from the lady playing the militia leader, hilarious!

Very fortunate to have stumbled across this just as my City of Heros/Villains free trial ran out.

Haven't realy done much in thsi one, but have managed to destroy/complete the starting location, the other place further up the hill and had abit fun down below in the nearby town, I went stright for the service/petrol station.

Very nice destruction engine.

Only wish they'd have aSlaine version.

Then he'd be pulling off a dragonheist while taking out bad guy skullswords & Drunes with a leyser pistol & his axe a one of their training camps warping earth power right back at the dolman's, cromlechs, other standing stones instead those radio towers.

Talking to his dwarf companion instead of the PDA.

Why don't you shoot up the game store until they give into your demands?

Honestly, I hope your kidding me Godpleton regarding any referance to my other problem.

Like, I only mentioned using a fireamr,a nd haven't acted upon  and odne any more than continue to e-mail my old sellers on EBAY despite 2000Ad magzine's exinxction on that website.

Just you try finging progs.

As for demanding a Slaine game similer to this one. It would be nice, but I'm not expecting anymore than Editor Tharg himself should expect me to pull a gun on any clerk at a newstand.

Oh man, I loved this game so much.

worth a rent but dont know i'll be paying full whack for it. love pootleing abut with the military helicopters blowing stuff up and all that but the highlight for me has been discovering you can unhitch the mini gun from the fixed gun emplacements and wander round rambo like being an unstoppable killing machine :D

one other nice bit when i first had a three on one heli dog fight was rico humming ride of the valkyries from apocalypse now!    right up til the buggers shot me down :'(

Oh, I understand the terrorist reference. I only just thought of it today, and slapped my face, but to stop at doing this undermines the natural of the game.

heh, only kidding thryll seeker...i do have to say that i prefer mercs 2 maybe its because the blowing up of stuff and buildings is far more prevelant and also to bump anything above the woeful way of the samurai thread ;)

I knew you were kidding. You had to be if you understood the nature of the game. The who premice of creating chaos to make money to spend on stuff that increses your capacity to create even more chaos.

Whats wrong with the Way of the Samurai Three.

I thought I added some life to it. It certainly seems like interssting game and I was thinking the same thing about it. That I thought when I played this Just Cause demo.

I was thinking of you know who when looking both these demos, though I haven't yet played the Samurai, I sometimess fancy spike-headed bonce is like a Irish Samurai, being a Red Branch Knight and all.

The Red Branch skills seem so much like the Ninja scrolls. If that comparison doesn't offned as I understand that Pat Mills would perhaps like to to be thought of something that is it's own rather than derived from someother culture.

Well, I can't help but draw comparisons.

I might also think that Slaine could be a Mexican terrorist.

Perhaps it's not nice to say such about a king, but I'm referring more to his tendency to Warpspasm.

Closest thing you get to setting off explosives without actualley having any.
