RPGs @ Hi-Ex
« on: 06 March, 2010, 02:06:32 PM »
Wasn't sure if Vicky or Rich had posted something about this here or not.

Anyway - after having both of them (and Al Ewing) play in some Judge Dredd RPGs last year I think I scratched an itch.  So after a few discussions with them there will be some RPG goings on at Hi-Ex this year amongst other games including I think some Warhammer and Magic The Gathering.

I will be running Dungeons & Dragons introduction games for people and my good friend Richard Talbot will be running Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog RPG games over the weekend.

So, if you're interested come and fine us in the "gaming room" wherever that is!

Cheers,

Dave

The Gaming Room will be located in the top-right of the map. Haven't a clue which way is North on this map, but that doesn't really matter here!

Looking forward to learning more about the Strontium Dog game...!

I might pop in here, seeing as I have all the 2000AD RPG stuff (who'd have guessed it) but never played any of them. There will be no playing by me, lets get that straight now, I will mearly be an observer, taking notes ;)

The gaming room is a beautiful old room- and is where the exhibitors were in yr 1. Should be a lot of fun in there as the room is clearly visible as you walk in.

My dear wife would tell you that I am seriously Over competitive, so I shall watch and enjoy the game play.
By the way, this is also why I am dreading the auction ::)

Well it's kinda about winning but in general it's about the team of characters completing the objective of the game.
I'm sure we can convince you to take part in something!!!

I'll also have Mutants & Masterminds with me should people want to do some Superhero gaming instead of Dungeons & Dragons.  I should have some freebies to give away too as it's the weekend after Worldwide Dungeons & Dragons day which my shop in Kirkcaldy is hosting.

There will be no playing by me,

Rocket Propelled Grenades? I thought They would be right up your street CF!

Anyway I see the Stormtroopers are there too, RAC how about a couple patroling up on the roof of the Eden? How good would that look?
No, Donny, these men are nihilists, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Health and Safety would, I suspect, scupper that one!

They will be patrolling Inverness the Saturday before HiEx though...

Well, yes- but Warhammer is about crushing your enemies and hearing the lamentations of their women, etc.

Which version of D&D is it?

Just a little rough an' tumble, Judge man!                                                                             I'm too dumb and too mean to be afraid!
