Clickwheel
« on: 05 March, 2010, 10:13:59 AM »
Anybody know what's up with clickwheel this week? Prog 1673 is 2 days late now, and they haven't answered my support e-mail (in the past, they've always been *very* prompt).

Withdrawl symptoms starting to kick in...

(that'll teach me to forsake the dead tree version!)

Of course this would happen as soon as I start promoting them so.

What the heck, Clickwheel?!  Where's my 1673?

Hmmm... I've just discovered that Tim Demeter - the "editor" at clickwheel.net (and the guy who seemed to reply to all my support e-mails) resigned on February 26th.

Oh oh....

So what you are telling us is, that clickwheel is as fast as the postman nowadays. I think they should add that to their marketing campaign ;)

Well, it looks like the story so far is:

24th February - prog 1672 is posted
26th February - The guy who runs clickwheel.net quits his job
3rd March - No sign of prog 1673.
10th March - No sign of prog 1674.

...and no response to e-mail enquiries asking what's going on.

Pretty annoying, as I've paid for these issues in advance.

Looks like the common sense thing-to-do at this point is: cancel any auto-renewing clickwheel subscriptions :(

Well, at least there's a blink-and-you-might-miss-it update at the top of the 2000AD page at Clickwheel now.

"THE MIGHTY ONE SPEAKS! Look Here! We’re wrestling against great forces bent on keeping us from uploading new prog’s. They will be conquered and new content will be up soon."

...fingers crossed! (I *do* like my digital editions!!)

And the Meg is still stuck two months behind, just as I decide to give up the paper version for good. Fan-bloody-tastic.

Heh. Same for me with the Prog. Except change months for weeks. Still, looks like it'll be updated soon.

If you have not bought 1673 yet, hold off a little longer.  Sadly, the pages are all out of order.  I dropped them an email to let them know.

1674's up as well... haven't downloaded that one yet, as I'm still trying to unscramble 1673.   :(
