Hard to fairly review the entire prog when Stickles and Dredd stick in my mind and blow everthing else away.

Dredd? A rentacop? ROTFLMAO  Anyway, what state is the City in if it ends up relying on a crazy murdering psycho as the last line of defence against a corrupt chief judge :o

That said, the emergence of Sinfield seems too convenient, especially as cloning was involved. Given his political attitude, when I imagine him 20 years older I get Robert L Booth. Maybe Maybe (!) isn't the only one with access to brain-swap technology after all.

Stickleback is just so cool. Love the Countess; who needs Frank Castle or Paul Kersey with somebody like that sticking it to the City's criminals and corrupt officials with robot bombs, guided missiles and 30mm cannon  Hope her "friend"'s "employer" isn't called Wilhem...!

ABC is OK but only OK for the story, just another phase of their existence and too many SUN like cliches (INF-Lation, anyone)? However the artwork is absolutely awesome, 10/10 to Mr Langley for that

Dante is OK I guess; some good points, but played too often for laughs. And Konstantin... oh my dear Grud, Konstantin... let's hope DC's lawyers aren't watching ;)

Bit rough on Ennis and Hogan though.

And those of us that enjoyed those stories.

Bah, I hadn't thought about those strips, probably 'cos I wasn't that much of a fan of them. You're right though, my theory would totally scupper them so wouldn't work. Drat, foiled again! Saying that though, Wagner tends to ignore stuff that he didn't write, so you never know...

As for radiator's Dante prediction, that's what I was alluding to in my review. Best to put the rest in spoiler tags I think. It would be such an amazing and daring development if they killed Jenna now, especially as it's took so long for her and Dante to get together. It'd completely turn the strip on it's head. Just imagine the effect it would have on poor Nikolai, especially as he'd chosen to piss off to save Elena, leaving poor Jenna alone. A broken, guilt-ridden, almost suicidal Dante would be an even more formidable threat to the Tsar and an even bigger departure for the character. Aaaagh, half of me wants her to die, half of me likes her too much and wants a happy ending for my favourite couple!

What a great strip it is!

Were that to happen, I'd feel cheated.  It'd show stones, but I really don't want it to go down that way.  We all mellow and mature, it'd be nice if those characters had the chance to do the same.....

Aw Gloady, I love yer, yer big soft sod!

One thing's for sure, despite Wagner being back on the best Dredd in years, I'll be turning straight to Dante next Prog! I don't think I've ever read another strip before Dredd, but I'm desperate to know what happens next...

You know when you're reading a prog and you stop and then rummage around for the previous prog because you're sure you must have missed one? Well I got that with Dredd this week. He's suddenly back in the MC1. Did I miss something in the Meg (which I now don't get)?

I love everything about it: story, art, intrigue etc. but it just seemed like a huge non-sequeteur (sp?).

In the last part of Pink Eyes, Dredd brings a list of allegations before Sinfield after the Pinky/Munn debacle, who assures him that he'll get his chance to air his grievances before the Council in due course. Skip forward a few weeks and Dredd's obviously back in the Meg ready for his hearing (and tidying up a few loose ends while he's there) only to find that Sinfield's rigged the Council to find in his favour.

I don't normally comment in the progs (partly because my opinions about certain creators might get me lynched by the readers who opinions differ and are, therefore, wrong), but this was another cracking issue.

Especially Dredd... PJ Maybe has got to be the single best baddie Dredd's ever faced! Oh, if only he'd been caught at a very young age - what a Judge he could have become! Top art as always from John Higgins (and, just for those interested in such things, this brings the number of items in Mr Higgins' bibliography to a whopping 400 - see www.turmoilcolour.com).

Also great news about the new Alpha story. Looking forward to that immensely!

John and Sally's work on Dredd was just awesome.

But the best thing in the prog, again, is Dante. I mean, Jesus! There's enough plot in this one episode to keep a US title going for a couple of months!

The future shock/ terror tale whatever it was this week was fantastic. We've had some really good ones in recent times, after a lull in quality that seemed to go on forever! Dredd this week has really got me looking forwrd to next week, too. Top stuff.

I must have a Thrill sucker infestation...

Dredd - getting back in the saddle.Great!

The rest - meh only. Most meh was Dante as usual (for me). It just didn't get me juices flowing - perhaps a re read is in order.
