The amount of bold text in this thread makes my head spin.

But!

I admire this thread, because I am a semi-decent cook who likes to learn new recipes. Today's attempt was a test run of my vanilla fudge brownies, which nearly came out brilliantly until the fudge sank to the bottom of the mixture in the pan and melted into a cement-like sludge.

Arse.

A few moths back I heard on some foody show that you can put Coca Cola into Spag Bol.
So the other day I thought, why not try it (I had the local Chinese as back up) so I did and you know what!
All it did was nullify the taste of the garlic. Waste of bloody time ::)

DD cricks his neck, left and right, pulls a recently retired chefs jacket from the wardrobe. keep it simple, and the world is your oyster.
more then one of us have met the four dark judges, hence my suggestion.

mesculan lettuce ( mixed bag from tescos if you wish)
rocket lettuce (just the heart of one)

cherry tomatoes, 8 numbers
garlic, two cloves
table spoon of olive oil
crushed black pepper.

dehydrated strawberries,cranberries,apricots,apple,sultanans,rose petals(yes really)
olive oil, fine balsimco vinegar

vanilla yoghurt (six table spoons)
crushed black pepper
lemon grate yellow outside only, and cut in half.
grain mustard (tablespoon full)

chicken breast/fish fillet/tofu.
soaked in olive oil, jiuce of half a lemon, sprinkling of black pepper, any dry herb you have at the back of the cupboard, room tempature for about four hours.

tear lettuce with hands to small pieces, toss in pepper, squeeze of other half of lemon jiuce, allow to sit in freeze for 20 minutes, make sure lettuce is dry after washing before tearing.

mix yoghurt lemon zest, grain mustard and tea spoon of pepper, chill.

cut cherry tomatoes in half, add olice oil and crushed garlic, warm in microwave for 1 minute, leave  to rest for two and repeat three times,
poor warm oil and garlic and tomatoes over chilled lettuce

poor yoghurt over lettuce, mix gently, yoghurt will cling to leaves.
place on ice cold plate.

sear in hot pan, tofu/chicken/fish.

place on top of lettuce, sprinkle with dehydrated friut,
splash with balsimco vinegar and olive oil

low calories, cholestral friendly, veg, carnivore, fish eater happy. cheap and easy.

just because you have to alter your diet, does not mean it has to be boring.
I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

It's Saturday morning (ahem, afternoon), I am enjoying a long lie in and a cup of coffee, catching up on the board. My housemate has cooked bacon downstairs so I am getting hungrier and hungrier and I find THIS THREAD!!!

Well, Rog's cholesterol-tastic dessert is chilling in the fridge, to be unveiled later this evening round at my mum's. I may have put a tad too much sherry over the cookies, but time will tell. Fingers crossed!

Well, it didn't set (my fault - not your recipe's!), which caused much mirth in my mum's house last night. Tasted great, though, and has over the course of the last hour been transformed into some of the finest ice cream I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Nice one, Rog!

My variant on your recipe shall henceforth be named Who The Drokk Are Ben & Jerry, Anyway?.

That will probably read more like a chemistry/laboratory experiment than a recipe.

On a related note, there's a guide to recreating KFC's "delicious" secret recipe over at http://www.kfcchickenrecipe.com/. I did try it, but it just doesn't work without a pressure cooker. Wasn't interested enough to try it again a second time.

Ice-cream update: Took the last of it into work, and impressed the hell out of my boss with it. I'll be making that again, I think.

After being ordered by Noisybast I shall now reveal my secrets!

WILD-SEVEN'S CRISPY DAB GOUJONS

(I won't even attempt to describe how you fillet or skin them!)

4 dab fillets
seasoned flour
1 beaten egg
breadcrumbs (un-dyed or natural for preference)
groundnut oil

1. cut the fillets in half length-ways, lightly coat in the seasoned flour, dip into the beaten egg then coat in breadcrumbs.

2. put enough groundnut oil into the frying pan to cover to a depth of about 1 inch/2cm and heat, you'll know it's hot enough when you put a small piece of bread in the oil and it bubbles away happily and becomes golden. when it's hot enough put the pieces of fish in, turning them when the edges become golden.

3.take the fish out of the pan and put on some kitchen paper to get any excess fat off of them, put them on a baking tray and into the oven to keep warm while you cook the rest.

4. Eat!

Next from Wild-Seven's kitchen, Paprika Chicken with red rice
I was going to procrastinate but I think I'll leave it till tomorrow
