Well best thing of that Prog 2000 is that last final page of Nikolai Dante: The Courtship of Jena Makarov with sad looking of Nikolai Dante with flopping hair etc, and next page is the preview of new story, Tsars Wars with new-look Nikolai Romanov in heavy battle!
No! Please! Not that! Not-- THE SCORPIONS!

I don't care what is in Prog 3000 (even a prog-length Bison drawn by a blind monkey on steroids), as long as 2000AD actually survives that long--now that's cause for celebration :D

Tales from a catch-up/re-read, I'm guessing.

When the actual Prog 2000 comes around, the fact that there has already been a Prog 2000 will cause a singularity paradox and Tharg's head will implode, sucking the planet into a thrill-powered black hole.

Maybe.
