Hello everyone and happy new year.
I've been off the radar for a bit lately, heads down with some work.
The first chapter of my current project is out in 4 weeks time so here is a selection of some of the strip work from it.
Hope you like it.

Cheers.

Gibson Quarter – great organ grinder with attitude. Brilliant quality to the inks.
flip-r mk2 – I did a double take when I saw teddy's left leg on Dirty Frank. Cracked me up.
NeilFord – vicious microphone head with Maggie Thatcher Spitting Image puppet gob.
staticgirl –  can't say I know who it is, but that sure is a fine image of a woman with shooter. The hair and face are beautifully done.
I missed those Party Crasher images as was flat out working on my advent calendar piece. Beautiful work from Bhuna, johnnystress (love TMO's grin) and KerrazyFoxMachine's butler Dredd.
And right you are to be happy with that Zenith, Steve. I didn't spot the DK reference but now you mention it – brilliant.
Awesome as ever, Alex.

Ok, pleasantries out of the way, here are my final pieces for the advent calendar. I couldn't finish the second page in time for Xmas. As the first page was done more quickly it ended up being looser and I prefer it to the second page. Still trying to discover a preferred technique (digital/pen/brush – combinations etc). My first ever efforts on Bristol board. I made the mistake of sketching the panels on scraps of paper and then spent ages adapting them to fit the panel layout. For speed I did the lettering in Photoshop. Wasn't sure if the caption boxes should have punctuation at the end.

Apologies for the 'script'. I couldn't think of anything else that rhymes with 'holy' than 'hole-y' and the final two lines should repeat but I didn't think of that at the time.

Thanks for the kind words all and the reason for the weekend postings is that were all getting to old to go out at the weekends.
