uhm... uhm... soon!
Actually, in an unrelated way, I have a working strategy for dealing with the iPad (and a.n. other related potential digital comic readers) it is multi pronged:
Release a free comic via the interwebs, building week by week (this is the freakangels model) 2-3 pages of comic strip.
Release a 22 page, monthly version of the same comic as a CBR file and whatever other digital formats are available - either in advance of or after - I THINK advance might be better - giving people a reason to pick it up. But it could go either way.
Try and get the same strip placed, for free, as a backup in a monthly print title.
Finally, collect the entire series into a Trade print - either via lulu, or, if the audience is built up sufficiently go with a proper publisher.
Any thoughts from the comic making crowd?
Some notes:
This bypasses the whole pre-order wait system, but would still require a large amount of built up material (working on it!)
Profit (if any) would come from the digital cbr files/app files (sold via the website, and all other applicable venues)
