There really is a shed load of great stuff there, Cam's starwars stuff will surely raise a bucketful of cash especially if the word gets out to those SW websites...(hint,hint)
No, Donny, these men are nihilists, there's nothing to be afraid of.

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here, but this is the closest topic to what I need on the Board.

I'll be selling some Xtra large Dante splash pages at Hi Ex. One of which the proceeds go to Haiti Relief. Check them out here:-

Thanks for your attention.

Simon.

Of course you're not!
In fact- this is great,as it saves me coming up with a subject for the newsletter I have to write this afternoon.

There will be some sweaty brows during the auction by the looks of things.
I hope that you will be wearing that white suit Richmond (I had a look through the pictures from the previous Hi-Ex's).

The auction was on the Saturday and what a good laugh it was. I sat with Pete Wells having a chat before it started and we realised that we were not bidding on the same things, so everything would be okay!
The items started to fly off the stage as the bids came in, a few had email bids but I don't think any of those people won anything.
Pete managed to get the Colin MacNeil framed pencils of the Hi-Ex! poster so he was very happy. I on the other hand had my eyes on three Dredd items.
During the auction I was enlisted by Mike and Rich to help sell the Hell-Trekker Polo top and after a story about how the winner could lie and say he was on the trip and that I would say we picked him up from the Isle of Wight it went for more than it cost, I was happy! I did see the winner wearing it the following day.
When the first item came up I had already decided on my limit so I waited on the bidders to move the price up to where I could enter.
As you will know from what DDD wrote on the event thread I employed a 'Shock and Awe' style of bidding, it worked very well ;)
I managed to be victorious on all three items so when the final piece in the auction came up which was the Dante piece, I thought 'Why not'
But before that Rich came up the stairs with a Boo Cook Elephant Man piece and said "go on John, you know you want it. We'll even draw a helmet on him!" Alas I was after Dredd items only but it was a good try Rich.
Back to the Dante page, the bidding started and it soon moved to around £45 ish, time to enter and see what would happen, £70. Straight away a counter bid was against me. I moved up to £100, again another bid against. Okay mate let's see if you can handle the might of the Cellar of Dredd, £140. That was it, my war in the auction was over I had 4 fantastic pieces of artwork to get framed for the stairwell at home!
