Now can anyone stitch the bits together and upload it somewhere more convenient? My browser keeps seizing up after about 8 minutes and I have to shut it down and restart it, which is not making for easy viewing.

It messed up my browser as well so i am not going to bother again.

I still haven't seen the whole thing yet!!

Whats the problem with Edge TV not making the interview accessable ? It seems sloppy and amateurish to me.

I think it is because they are sloppy and amateurish

And Yes truth is truth and there is no getting away from it but i think its cognitive dissonance that makes people think its subjective.

I'd wonder how you define "truth".

Science after all is about testing hypotheses, which may bring you incrementally closer to a model that brings you closer to an understand of the way things work, but it is always going to be provisional, depending on how solid your underlying assumptions are. That is why pseudoscience appeals so much as they offer The Truth.

I'm half an hour in and all Pat has really said about those experiences is that he say something in the sky he can't explain, which is all an Unidentified Flying Object is. He certainly doesn't (so far) say they are flying saucers or alien spaceships - in fact what he describes is would be difficult to fit into such simple categories. I can't think I would have said anything different if I'd have seen them and I'd also have taken up the offer of seeing some UFOs (although I'd have taken a video camera with me ;) ).
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

I thought that stuff was fair enough, but I watched a further 15 minutes before I got fed up with it mucking up my browser and he then starts going on about believing the world's been influenced by ancient fish-lizard gods for thousands of years. Not sure how he gets from being "as sceptical as the next man" to that, even if he did see a giant flying jellyfish.

Fish-Lizard Gods?

That would be Dagoth-Glycon.

The giant-flying jellyfish. Does anybody recall Pluke the Light-El creature that transported/carried Slaine and Murdach from Els-Where and smmaller creatures referrede to as Macrobes always passing through the real world while dimensionally unstable like ghosts, always invisable to the human eye. Only solidfyng when the dark god begins to awaken.

Did he mention a book about dark gods written by Anthony Roberts & Geoff Gilbertson. Something of a inspiration for his work?

I assume he means the Oannes.

Edge TV is a Sky channel so this probably explains why its not archived or freely available.

Also if you click on latest news its dated march 2009 so it doesnt seem like they bother updating themselves very much. Its not a place that i shall be visiting aqain anytime soon.

You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view

AS for that comment the answer is yes and no because it depends on what subject you are talking about.Religion for example is subjective yet a religious type will claim their beliefs as truth.Certain conspiracy theories are again subjective until there is sufficient evidence to prove the theory as fact so then conspiracy theory becomes conspiracy fact but until that point its all speculation. There is a lot of talk going on regarding HAARP and the Haiti earthquake which is all speculation but there is not a shred of evidence so far to support the theory so someone can cling to belief that HAARP caused the earthquake because of their point of view but that doesnt make the HAARP theory truth.

An example of Conspiracy fact is the Bilderberg group as their existence and their activities are well researched and documented. There are an awful lot of examples of conspiracy theories that 10 years ago were conspiracy theories but now as certain events are unfolding on the world stage and events the theories proves themselves as fact because the evidence is plain to see.

So ultimately truth is truth and personal beliefs and points of view are irrelevent because denial doesnt not make a truth not a truth.Truth has to be self evident.

....and I thought these were no longer available.

Out of print, and not sold anywhere last time I turned Amazon.com. and Ebay looking for just one copy.

http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Gods-Anthony-Roberts/dp/009138771X

Love to get this myself.

When I can spare the $133 plus postage and handling.

I wonder if Pat Mills himself has reviewed and recommended this tome.

Possibly being the inspiration for alot of Slaine, espeically Time-Killer[]/b] and Nemesis the Warlock, Savage, A.B.C. Warriors.

Blimey - you don't want to do that. There are at least 3 editions of the book, a quick check on Amazon.co.uk gives us the Panther edition for £3.89 and looking at delivery costs you are looking at a bit over a tenner. Every Mayor's bookshelf should have one.

www.amazon.co.uk/Dark-Panther-Books-Anthony-Roberts/dp/0586062335

Presumably you already have Robert Temple's The Sirius Mystery to put it beside. William Bramley's The Gods of Eden must also lurk somewhere on the Millsian bookshelves - its your basic starter if you don't want to get too bogged down with Sitchin and Von Daniken. Id also recommend a half pound bag of salt to take it all with and remember what Pat says, if you take an interest in something, it might take an interest in you.

I'd assume, the main influence from the Dark Gods is on the Cyth, who would pretty much equate with the Great Old Ones from the Cthulhu Mythos.

Hoping to shed more light on what the Cythron might have been exactly.

What know so far is that they ..

Were aliens imprisoned on earth at the before the dawn of mankind long ago after losing a battle with some unkown entities.

Possible the source of one God ad their heavenly host or asimiler group of aliens that hman must have started worshipping as god.

Does anybody remember where Van's Dom's thread discussion under the topic heading Slaine Burnout, Only one man can help me now went.....

http://www.2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26187.15.html

..... a discussion about how the Cythron's were controling and hurting mankind through religion. I like some of Van's theories one of the Cythron's.

When they were discovered by humans, they were treated as demons becoming the source for those myths about hell and hades, Satan, Lucifer and what not.

I thought they might been like serpents or those alien lizardmen that David Icke is famous for talking about.

Though the Formorians are also referred to as serpents as well reptilian. Just to keep everything neat and secregated. I 'd like if they were separate. THeir more mutants, some of them reptile, the pure blooded ones are amphibious. The smart ones, that like to ride on the backs of people are most fish-like. The source of all the refererances to serpents.

What is Elfric exactly? A macrobe, a dark El.

Some helpful soul on the Mongoose Publishing forum said they would treat Elfric as a one of the Dark Sidhe Perhaps the themost renown.

We also know that this might be Pat's MIlls answer to Michael Moorecock's, Elric the Albino sword weilding, sorceror of Melnibone

I think found those whilest I did a web search on David Icke and what he has to say about Ancient astronauts, Anunnaki, Enûma Eliš, Reptilians, shapeshifting, and Thuban

You know this is all alittle too much for me, I think might start with the book Pat Mills recommended. Dark Gods by Anthony Roberts & Geoff Gilbertson.

BY the Way....

Have you read anything on

Rudolph Steiner???.

I forget what he did exactly but you wil find his name here....

http://www.kheper.net/topics/Anthroposophy/Earth_condition.html

Right at the top. He was origanally mentioned in one of the reviewes for Slaine: Time-Killer

Surprisely, I found a chapter on him, almost a whole volume about this fellow in series books Mysteries of the Unkown another procduct of Time-Life.....

http://www.amazon.com/Mysteries-Time-Life-Books/dp/0783549121

.....I have all twenty of these. I think they should tide me over.

Helena Blavatsky another name I found, & one to be remembered. In short, she wrote the The Secret Doctrine. Perhaps now, it should be the Not So Secret Doctrine.....

http://www.theosociety.org/pasadena/sd/sd-hp.htm

In short, she has argued that we are all descended from four root races. The same that Pat Mills hints at in the beginning of Time-Killer.

Quoting Pat Mills.....

Quote
ROOT RACES- According to magician, before human beings appaered there were root races on Earth. The first Root Race were invisbale beings made of fire mist; the Second were gaseous creatures; the Third were brainless, egg-laying monsters on whom the Diluvials are based; the Fourth were Atlanteans, including the Rmoahals.

I have the found that thsi prety much matches what was found in the Earth Condition. In the link above the last.

Ah Rudolf Steiner, just because Hitler doesn't like you doesn't mean you're right.

I once worked with a fan of Steiner's biodynamic agriculture, who despite being otherwise the most sensible of women used to pass her time burying cow horns full of quartz by the light of the full moon, then digging them up, putting the contents into a bucket of water and spinning it around madly, before sprinkling said water on her growing veg.  She spent hours, days even, trying to explain to me how this worked.  Literally the homeopathy of manure.

Literally the homeopathy of manure.

Or the bollocks of shite, to use a technical term.

i too know a well educated woman, a nurse currently studying for a RHS qualification in horticulture, who is being tempted by the Dark Side of biodynamic planting. Moon cycles may have been a handy 'calendar' to remind people of optimum planting times, but she won't believe me that the moonlight doesn't do feck all for the plants!

You do realise you linked to the discussion you are looking for in the middle of that question about where it went?

This aspect of the Cyth has a bit of a whiff of the Gnosticism and the Demiurge about it.

Yes, it'd be unwise to romp off into Ickian territory as it is a conspiracy quagmire (which I won't expand on further here, as I still hope he will return the answers to my interview questions and I can summarise elsewhere at some point).

You'll find a lot of Theosophy throughout science fiction (it was also mined heavily by Lovecraft too, as well as Robert E. Howard and other pulp writers), the irony being that Blavatsky was a rampant plagiarist (and massive fraud) and stole merrily from just about anything she could get her hands on and didn't discriminate about hoovering up science fiction and fantasy stories too.

You'd be better off checking out the fiction inspired by their pilfering rather than the originals themselves.

I think he meant "went" as in the direction the thread took.
