Crikey, that was tremendous fun wasn't it? It was a pleasure and a privilege to take part. Well done Pete for organising this ... you realise you're now lumbered with this job every year from now on?  :D

And I have to agree, amongst all those brilliant pieces of work, it was Anderson's photocopy hi-jinks (both angles) that will always stand out (oo-er) in my memory!

wot a blast the advent was!! fecking excellent efforts from everybody.... and the pros contributing too, what a chribo pressy that was.

Even Kim, my wife who isn't into comics etc but sees the effort that everyboby puts in, has thoughly enjoyed the entries. She now understands the concepts behind the art..... should i introduce her to Halo Jones???

Well wow just plain wow. Just as we thought the Advent Calendar couldn't get any better we get that last entry. Thanks a gazillion Pete for all your effort and to everyone who took part cos that there has got to be the Galaxies Greatest Internet Forum Thread ever (no really I looked it up).

The exciting thing is I get the feeling everyone is going to try to top there work next year which is a pretty cool prospect!

The crossword files are all on my laptop at work and I dont return to the office til the 3rd, which is when I'll put up the crossword solution.

Hopefully te advent calendar shows that you don't need to be an artist to contribute and next year will have even more entries.

Commando Forces accused me of being "a bit early" with my second effort. Not quite. I uploaded it as my Mrs was waiting for me in a cab as we were on our way to an Xmas eve meal.

The date on your entry said Christmas 2131, that's what I was on about. You do realise that I had to go through the whole initial thread to see what I wrote

I bet everyone has started on their pre production for next year already.

I'm thinking we'll see full length 3D movies, artwork sneaked into and displayed in the Tate, The Legendary Shark streaking at a high profile event with the 2000AD logo on his arse (this was decided on one of the chat nights),etc, etc...
I dread to think what certain people come up with but I'm looking forward to seeing it all next December ;)

It was an absolute pleasure to organise guys, so no thanks necessary! Personally, I wouldn't like to pick out particular favourites but what pleased me most when putting this together was the diversity, creativity and downright genius on show from many boarders. I was also chuffed with the number of pro-creators taking part, thanks again to them!

We've got to do this next year, hopefully with at least two people contributing each day!

Haven't been online much over Christmas but just a quick note to say another "thanks" to everyone for all their efforts towards the calendar and to Pete for his kind words about the choir. Great stuff!

Missed?  OR EDITED?!?!

Kidding.  Whack up a linky to that thread, Monarch!  Make sure folks can find it easily, it deserves it's place here.

Aaaagh, so sorry Monarch! The thread I thought was going to take me half an hour ended up taking bloody hours so I knew I'd bloody miss at least one entry out! Looking back, I think I missed it 'cos it was a link and not a picture and it was approaching 1am by the time I got to the Christmas Eve posts.

That fine link is here folks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKI51ZTrLHA

Sorry again fella!
