I agree MGB. I prefer a book to hold in my hand than a web version anyday... I guess that makes me old fashioned!

Glad folks like the page, as I had a blast doing it. I've offered to help out again anytime so we may wind up doing this again, right EMP?

Cheers,
Gibson

Damn right!!

GQ has offered to be a pinch hitter if someone can't make it (and the timetable will soon be locked in for the next 6 months so we can plan ahead as well as deal with emergencies) so you might see him back soon and that's be No Bad Thing.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Cremola, that is damn good on all counts – art/colours, script. I didn't notice the lettering though. Must be too good.

Do you folks mind me asking how long that took? A real rookie question, but would like to know.

I'm almost embarassed to admit bu tthe colouring took me most of Saturday, half of sunday, all of monday evening and aprt of tuesday evening. But in my defence, I was pushing myself and trying new things (colour holds for instance - ended up without about 17 layers in the end!)

Hey SuperSurfer,

Its hard for me to say exactly, as I dont have lots of available hours at a stretch. On this page I basically worked in 2-3 hour bursts. I figure that it took me about 5-6 hours to pencil (after I found elephant reference!) and another 3-4 to ink. Yea... I'm a slow inker.

But at least MY nib held up great!

It's a lovely, lovely page and Gibson has brought something really very cool to the party... it definitely deserves some more attention!

Great page again guys, awesome art from Gibson. That's one tough lady! Or a particularly effete elephant.

Put me down for a print version when it happens.

Which is why the FreakAngels print editions seem to be so popular, unbothered by the freeness of the web episodes or the relentless (and still illegal) torrenting.  I keep up with FA online, but I still end up buying the collected editions, like I do with my favourite Twoth strips.

FF is definitely a fine fine piece of work.  Any "DVD extras" for a proposed print edition?  To hoike us waverers into parting with folding?  Eh? *wink*

Well... in addition to a fancy cover, I will probably be going back through the words and giving them another polish and over on the blog GQ suggested adding a splash page (which would feel a bit of a cheat in one page a week web comic, given the fact the reader can fill in the gap, but would be a nice added extra in a collection), there will need to be four fancy pages to mark the start of each arc and I'm sure we can added sketches, and the like to it.

I'm sure other ideas will occur to me as we go along. Photographs of "pretty boy" Levell will be available as incentives too if that floats anyone's boat (and tip them over the edge into picking up a copy), we are still working on getting a picture of Jim in a tutu but that'd be more to threaten people with.

WHAT PHOTO OF JIM IN A TUTU?

It sounds... awful.  Yeah, that's it.  Awful.

I think by now you know what day it is - its Fractal Friction Friday:

James plus our first guest colourist: Peter Richardson, him off of Cloud 109:

He also has a main site but I can only get it to work in FireFox:

Enjoy.

Looking great once again, folks.
His site works in google chrome as well. There's a lot of really good stuff on there...
Just a little rough an' tumble, Judge man!                                                                             I'm too dumb and too mean to be afraid!
