Oh dear, apologies for the 'Wanger' typo. I've done it a few times before (not here, though)

The problem with Sector 1 is that it's not in the New York area (MegEast), but in MegCentral...

I appreciate comic readers don't mind so much about inconsistencies (with my comic head screwed on, I don't care a jot either), but when you're mapping the city for use with RPG games, you can't go sending your Judges to the wrong addresses  ;)

The easiest solution to offer: it is in Sector 44, but the Judges (relating to a different system of numbering relating to their private tactical schematics of the city) refer to it on that map as Sector 1 (aka Justice Central)...

have Sector One inside Sector 44, containing nothing more than the Grand Hall, the problem goes away.

There you go, James! Sectors contain precincts, so Sector 1 could be another name for Precinct 1.

I did consider it, but came up with a solution and staved off a nervous breakdown.

Oh come on!  Where's your backbone, man?  I've had a nervous breakdown or two and they were fine.*

* I have and they weren't - don't do it kids.  A mind is a terrible thing to taste.

Speaking personally as some one who HAS had a nervous breakdown (in 2007; thanks for the abysmal support, NHS!), it's not worth it over a comic ... even 2000AD;)

Yes, kind of like Vatican City, Washington DC and the City of London - which are all technically independent states where different rules and laws apply.

I may have to give Special Thanks to James S(tacey?) for the idea in my Streets of Mega-City One gazetteer; in one decisive swoop, he's solved one of the project's bugbears.

Agreed.  I thought I'd have had better support for the second one, but no.  They were STILL shite.  Even Twoth isn't worth losing marbles over.  Unless they're actual marbles that roll (rather than figurative ones you need to be happy and sane) in which case go for it.

HAVE YOU TRIED KILLING A MAN IN THE CITY OF LONDON, SHARK?  Apparently that's STILL illegal.  Not fair.

I have always regretted not taking up the offer to work on the first round of the Mongoose Dredd RPG so I'll take that ;)

My pleasure, James.

I've completed 240 pages so far; the A-Z component of the book should be finished in the summer. It's a truly massive undertaking, and the wait will be worth it. I plan up update every January with all the latest locales to have appeared in Dreddworld media over the past 12 months (or 6 months in the case of the 2011/2133 update).

Each entry contains synopses of events happening in or around each location, and the stories from which they originated.

As I've mentioned before, I would like to have the disappearance of the police in MC1 explained rather than their previous existence being ignored.
I always just took it that they were being phased out and the ones seen in that annual story were the last lot before the axe fell.
