Isn't that just one of the in-universe adverts from Wall-E?

Make it much bigger, put a seat in the middle of the hub, and I could quite go for General Grievous' wheelbike.

Uh oh! Slippery Jim beware. Aren't these the babies that the cops ride in Harry Harrison's books?

Its all well and good to glide about with a model on top but what happens when it has to move about a bigger boned chap?
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

I would have to chop mine and put a McClellan saddle on it and have mounts for my Schofield carbine and my Colt Walker pistols.

Those would be big, squishy floppy bones we have on our fronts, right?  The tum tum bone it's called.

Honda has officially invented the belly-wheel.

(cf: http://www.2000adonline.com/vault/characters/fatties)

That's not a belly wheel! That's a swivelly chair.
My wife actually saw a real belly wheel in America in the mid 90's, at a gamer's convention unsurprisingly. It was a home-made belly wheel. A small table with castor wheels, which fitted under the chap's belly to support it. Yes, really! They do exist.

It's the expression of barely concealed terror, like they're doing some extreme sport, that I like.

I look forward to the day that I can glide around perfectly level surfaces in a manner that is almost as easy as walking.
