Just gone through this thread for the first time- Some lovely work on show chaps.

I'm going to have a go at squeezing in by deadline if I can-

Here's 'Judge Flint' my uncoloured entry done in Manga 3.0. I'll try to colour it but I'm having a bit of trouble loading it into Photoshop CS2 as it doesn't seem to even recognize the layers or files at all.

Ah, you see- do you see what you did there? Schoolboy error guaranteed to make everyone hate it and not vote for you! You included the instruction to "HATE" it in the background! Has everything Derren Brown ever done been for nothing?? Scrawled on that wall should have been "VOTE FOR ME"- and then you'd walk it.

But excellent art, anyway!

Standard is worryingly high this month, isn't it? You lot are very talented.

here is my recent efforts, took me too long! basically i didnt use reference, just my own mind, so i made a lot of mistakes and then had to sort them out- took forever. now it is finished and hopefully does justice to dredd.. one day i would like to work at 2000 AD:P your critique appreciated,

hey guys, good to be here- ill post a smaller picture another time- thanks for the tip jim! it looks pretty rough at that size haha, now i can see all the mistakes i made. oh well, first effort at dredd ill post some more tomorrow, gotta go!

might be away for the next two days, so im gonna post another dredd i did today. this one took me about 45 minutes, much less.  my eyes were strained from the first one:P





hopefully the first looks better smaller- btw Legendary Shark, the background is some eastern city photography that i painted over crudely. i liked the design, kinda like dredds shoulder pad things:P

For some reason, neither of those images are working, bluerose. The IMG tags appear to be correct, but the URL inside is producing a 404 error (page not found).

Dunno if you want to post a link instead and see if that works?

Hey Jim, i saw the little red X's where my pictures should be, but hoped they showed up later:P too bad! i tried a different hosting site so here they are:P i will be out of town for 3 days as of tonight-
hopefully the forum stays open so i can hear the results? some good art here, i need more practice..

Your Dredd is wearing pants!  Pants on the outside!  My fragile mind she is blown.

I really like the colouring on those- very much. But the pants have to go. Though I'm amused by the fact that he seems to be hitching them up with one hand and gesturing to them with the thumb of the other- as if to say "nice pants, eh?" in a thretening just-loomed-out-of-the-dark way. This is not a side of Dredd we've seen before.
