That is the one I thought of too. I also suspect it'd translate well to a tattoo as it is a strong solid shape.

I'd go for 3 myself.
I haven't got any tattoos myself but have always been meaning to get one. I had a great design based on the names of my first two kids, a Gryphon's head with a halo over it (kids names are Halo and Gryphon). But I never took the plunge.

I'd go for 3.

The designs for 5 and 7 are very reminiscent of US FBI, CIA, police, fire, etc emblems.
The tail feathers and legs on 8 remind me of a few US military designs.
