2000AD August Art Competition: Tease for Two(th)

Since the winner of our glorious cover compo has been so prompt in supplying the new theme, we may as well get the ball rolling, eh?

Courtesy of Cravenoir, this month's competition is ...

THRILL TEASE!
You're reading your prog, turning the page, and there it is: A teaser for a forthcoming thrill -- tantalising image/s, and maybe hyperbolic text that fries your thrill-circuits!

But what is it? Perhaps a countdown to a Sin/Dex Mega-Epic, a new Caballistics chapter, or the re-return of the Two-Storey Brain? It could even be something completely original that would never really get past the editor.

In short the brief for the art contest is a big splashy teaser or "next prog" type advert.

The competition will run until Friday 28th August, with voting running from Saturday 29th August to Friday 4th September, results announced on the 5th September.

Well I'll go for the for the fastest entry ever!

This is of course a cheat. I've mentinoed elsewhere I have a strip that I developed a few years ago now that I always dreamed would one day make it to 2000ad. Well here's the advert for it I created when I self published a different comic. I'll going to try to find time to redraw this image over the month BUT for the time being 2000ads best new thrill ' The Thracian'

Oh and I should add that I did this as a demo and was looking for an actualt artist to develop the stories I was doing. I never intended to draw the thing myself.

Couple of apologise here. Firstly for the double post the edit button has gone already. Secondly in my haste to get this up I didn't check the quality of the image as uploaded. Its terrible and when I'm in work and have better access to software I'll see if I can get a better reproduction up.

Glad you like it, Colin! I did it yesterday afternoon - it took about an hour. Of course, it would have taken a lot longer if I'd bothered to draw the figures myself...!

I need to learn to use whatever software package you are using! Struggling with Paint while an entertaining challenge is such a frustration!
