Fab little challenge. I'd normally not take part in these sorts of 'board' drawing activities, but this was just the right kind of warm-up task to get the creative juices flowing! No idea whose Dredd this is reminiscent of though.

wacom sketch in photoshop.

nice!

I don't think I've tried to draw for about 10 years.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Damn... that 15 minutes goes fast doesn't it??

A nice distraction from my Ezquerra comp entry that's currently grinding to a halt...  :(

Nice one BPP!

I guess I'm from the Bolland school as that was the first time I saw him portrayed but Bisley is more of an influence now.

Great idea for a thread!
Inks and colour 14mins. Pretty circle crop and outer gradient a couple of mins more.
It's sort of Staples-y, although I began more McCarthy-ish.

I think your Dredd (the one on your old icon, especially) is very Peter Doherty, with a little Dave Taylor.

Sometimes I bloody hate Ezquerra! That damn Eagle. That drokkin helmet. That funtin' badge and chain    AARGH - I've never been able to do a satisfactory Dredd, at least a head is easier than the whole thing!

I dunno, about 7 minutes or something. Man, I draw Dredd a LOT (even when, you know... I'm not drawing Dredd - he's my goto doodle in my sketchbook...)

Finished when time was up. I seem to have lost the ability to draw smooth curves with this Wacom pen. Need to look into some decent settings and stick to them.

I'm liking that piccie of The Shadow that's thumbnailed at the side of that page, btw, PJ.

Cheers!
