More Merch..
« on: 09 December, 2008, 02:55:33 PM »
I dont know how big the demand is but I wuld love to see more toys, figurines and collectable stuff around.  the Figures available at the mo I dont think are that great, I'd love to see some mcfarlane style toys come out of the 2000AD characters, big chunky over the top figures... And of course more Judge death merch!!
Would that I could sssentance you a thousssand timesss..

Yep, I need more 2000AD stuff as well.

Unfortunately, with the characters stuck between the pages (and perhaps in the odd video game), without a cartoon, telly series or film to constantly 'advertise' the merch, I don't think we'll seem much. Pity.

I think Rebellion keep trying, but are they getting their fingers burnt? I don't know?

I hope they keep trying.

Personally I'd like to see a series of Dredd figures done in iconic artist styles like McMahon, Bolland, Ezquerra. That way they can sell me the same thing loads of different ways.

That sound you hear is the wailing of Commando Forces' family being sold into slavery...

Can they make fleshlights of fictional characters?

Fleeces and Beanies please.

I got the fleeces and beenies ages ago, they had the Dredd badge, SD badge and the 2000ad logos on them.
In fact I got them at one of the London Dreddcons along with the skateboard and polo shirts and a lot more. I ended up with two black sacks of goodies and on the way to the train station I was propositioned by a couple of working girls.
All in all a great day out (and no I didn't take them up on their offer).

I was thinking the other day that Tharg should bring out a couple of car stickers so that we can proudly place them on the rear windows so that we can show our allegiance to the Houes of Tharg, obviously I'd buy them.
You could have the new logo as one and another one with the old red logo and character heads either side of it.
I'm sure something like this wouldn't cost too much (especially as I've now dabbled in the merchandise production place) and of course it would be free advertising!

Kinda like people who are 'Fish Positive' we can be 'Thrill-power positive'. I'm liking it.
