John Wagner is, to many fans, the very heart of 2000 AD. Involved from the earliest days of the "Galaxy's Greatest Comic", he co-created Judge Dredd, as well as Strontium Dog, Robo-Hunter and a host of other 2000 AD mainstays, including the critically-acclaimed Button Man.
Incredibly prolific throughout his career, and writing under a diversity of pen names — often in concert with Alan Grant, with whom he devised and developed 2000 AD's sister comic, the Judge Dredd Megazine — Wagner has worked extensively beyond the Thargian universe, originating and editing a number of British periodicals as well as writing many American standards, including Batman, The Punisher, Lobo and Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett. His Paradox Press graphic novel A History of Violence was recently adapted into a movie.
Kev Walker is the co-creator of Badlands and The Balls Brothers, and has also provided artwork for Dan Dare, Judge Dredd, Future Shocks, Harlem Heroes, Mercy Heights, Rogue Trooper, Time Twisters and Tor Cyan. For the Judge Dredd Megazine, he wrote The Inspectre and has illustrated Judge Anderson, Mean Machine and Wynter.
Walker has recently finished an acclaimed run on DC's L.E.G.I.O.N. and is currently pencilling Marvel Comics' The Eternal.
Chris Weston is the co-creator of Canon Fodder, and has pencilled a vast array of 2000 AD and Megazine stories, including Downlode Tales, Future Shocks, Indigo Prime, Judge Dredd, Nemesis the Warlock, Nikolai Dante, Pulp Sci-Fi, Robo-Hunter, Rogue Trooper, Vector 13 and Whatever Happened To?
Beyond 2000 AD, Weston's work includes THE AUTHORITY, Enemy Ace: War in Heaven, The Filth, The Invisibles, Ministry of Space and Garth Ennis' War Story: Johann's Tiger.
Anthony Williams is the co-creator of both Babe Race 2000 and Kola Kommandoes. During his 2000 AD career, he has illustrated Big Dave, Future Shocks, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Mean Arena, Mean Machine, Robo-Hunter, Sinister Dexter, Sláine, Tharg the Mighty and most recently, The V.C.s.
Williams' work beyond 2000 AD includes Batman, Fate, Green Lantern, Superman, The Unfunnies., and Games Workshop's Titan.
Colin Wilson has gone from iconic status at 2000 AD to European superstardom as the artist of Moebius' classic western, Young Blueberry. For the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Wilson was a key early Rogue Trooper artist, and has also pencilled Future Shocks, Judge Dredd, Pulp Sci-Fi and Tor Cyan, as well as his co-created series Rain Dogs. Wilson's most recent US work was the Point Blank miniseries for DC/WildStorm. Currently he is working on a new crime series, Du Plomb Dans La Tete (Headshot), for French publisher Casterman.
