Ian Edginton

Ian Edginton is a recent name to appear in 2000 AD, but like his Leviathan and Scarlet Traces co-creator D'Israeli, his impact has been immediate. Debuting with occult pirate series The Red Seas, Edginton has gone on to create the aforementioned series as well as Interceptor. He has also written Judge Dredd, a Kleggs and Strange Cases.

Edginton's work prior to coming to the Galaxy's Greatest Comic covers a wide range of genres — from Dark Horse's Aliens series to The Authority, Blade, Deadline, The Establishment, Foxfire, Planet of the Apes, Ultraforce and Terminator.

Richard Elson

Richard Elson's first 2000 AD work was on a Future Shock way back in 1988, and since then he has pencilled Judge Dredd, Roadkill, Shadows, Time Twisters andTyranny Rex, as well as two co-created strips, Atavar and The Scrap.

Garth Ennis

Garth Ennis is one of 2000 AD's most successful exports. Since his debut in the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, writing his co-created crazed romp Time Flies, he has imprinted his trademark sense of human drama and humour on his other creations - The Corps, Judge Joyce and Sleeze 'n' Ryder, and the other strips he has written - Chopper, Judge Dredd and Strontium Dogs.

Beyond 2000 AD, Ennis has achieved something like legendary status, with an enormous backlist of successful titles including Adventures in the Rifle Brigade, Batman, Bloody Mary, The Demon, Dicks, Enemy Ace, Fury, Hellblazer, Hitman, Just a Pilgrim, Preacher, Pride and Joy, The Pro, The Punisher, Unknown Soldier and War Story. His most recent work is on Marvel Comics' Punisher: The End.

Brett Ewins

Since his Future Shock debut in Prog 37, Brett Ewins has been one of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic's most beloved artists. Co-creator of the classic Bad Company, Ewins has also contributed to A.B.C. Warriors, Daily Star Dredd, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Kelly, Mega-City One, Rogue Trooper, Ro-Jaws' Robo-Tales andUniversal Soldier.

Beyond 2000 AD, Ewins was a co-founding editor of Deadline magazine, and co-pencilled and inked the hugely acclaimed Skreemer series, which he co-created with writer Peter Milligan. He also created Johnny Nemo, which is now enjoying great success in Cyberosia Publishing's new US edition.

Carlos Ezquerra

It is impossible to overstate the importance of Carlos Ezquerra's contribution to 2000 AD. As co-creator of Judge Dredd, for example, Ezquerra designed the classic original costume as well as visually conceptualising Mega-City One… and then he co-created the only character arguably more popular, Strontium Dog! Ezquerra also co-created Al's Baby, Armageddon, Fiends of the Eastern Front and Janus: Psi Division, as well as the characters Galen DeMarco and Durham Red.

He has also illustrated A.B.C. Warriors, Judge Anderson, Purgatory, Tharg the Mighty, Time Twisters and the highly popular comics adaptations of Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat stories.

Outside of the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, Ezquerra first illustrated Third World War in Crisis magazine, and has since become a regular collaborator with Garth Ennis, working on Adventures in the Rifle Brigade, Bloody Mary and Just a Pilgrim, as well as their respective sequels. He also pencilled two special Preacher episodes. His recent work includes Star Wars: Mara Jade and character designs for the video game Freelancer. Ezquerra still pencils Judge Dredd and many other strips in 2000 AD — and long may he continue!
